Spiritual Writing Retreat at Launde Abbey

11th Nov, 4.00 pm to 13th Nov, 3.30 pm, 2022

Come and discover the art of spiritual writing, writing about our spiritual lives and writing from that deep reflective place inside each of us. We will explore how to write about our own spiritual journeys, past, present and future, and map those areas of unique individual interest to us. We will discover the value of writing meditative and reflective work, the benefits of writing for therapy and prayer and explore good journalling practices and daily writing.

This retreat will suit the novice as well as existing writers. There will be facilitator input, meditations, and time for individual reflection and writing as well as individual discussion with the leaders. The retreat will conclude with Signposts, suggestions to take you forward on your own writing journeys.

The retreat facilitators are Eirene and Richard Palmer, both published authors and holding Master’s degrees in Creative Writing. They run Café Writers, a large Christian writers’ group based at Derby Cathedral. Eirene runs a blog, backstreetpilgrim.com and Richard is Groups’ Coordinator for the Association of Christian Writers.

They have run many courses on the spiritual journey and are interested in the tricky task of being human, and finding self and God through our writing.
